How to Let Go of What’s Been Holding You Back
There’s a difference between fighting something and actually being free of it. A lot of us spend years in the fight: replaying the argument, re-litigating the situation, waiting for the other person to finally see it our way. That is not the same thing as moving on.
This week’s Monday Motivation is about naming the toxic things you’ve let stay in your life, and then actually letting them go, not just getting tired of fighting them.
Naming It Is Half the Battle
You cannot release what you have not named. Maybe it is a relationship where you feel small instead of supported. Maybe it is an old belief about yourself that started with something someone said to you years ago. Maybe it is a situation you keep re-entering out of habit, not because it’s good for you.
Whatever it is, this is the week to actually look at it. Not to judge yourself for still being in it. Just to see it clearly
It Was Never About You
Here is something worth remembering: when someone else is causing drama, trying to one-up you, or trying to control the situation, that says everything about them and nothing about you. You do not have to carry it like it’s yours to fix.
Recognizing that the situation is about the other person, not a referendum on your worth, is often what makes it possible to finally walk away without guilt.
Choosing Yourself, Even When It’s Hard
Letting go does not require being cold or heartless. It requires putting yourself first, even when that feels uncomfortable. Sometimes that means a plan. Sometimes it means a hard conversation. Sometimes it just means quietly stepping back and no longer feeding something with your energy.
Once you release what has been keeping you stuck, there is room for something else: a new chapter built on wholeness, connection, and abundance instead of old chains you have been dragging around.
